Agricultural Value Chains

The globalisation of agricultural and food markets and the liberalisation of world trade are creating a whole new competitive environment for primary producers, food manufacturers and retailers throughout the world.

The time is ripe for innovative approaches to marketing operations management, purchasing and logistics, to secure sustainable competitive advantage at home and overseas.

Based at the Cuthbertson Research Laboratories, within the Cradle Coast Centre for Food Innovation Systems, research in the Agricultural Value Chains Program will ‘prospect’ for innovation within existing value chains and seek to develop new value chains.
